  32. INTRODUCTION
  33. ============

  35. The disk enclosed with this Application Note contains a Windows Help
  36. file that describes the error messages and general troubleshooting
  37. procedures for FoxPro versions 2.0, 2.5, 2.5a, and 2.5b for MS-DOS and
  38. FoxPro versions 2.5, 2.5a, and 2.5b for Windows. Error messages for
  39. FoxDoc and the distribution kits are also included.
  40.  
  41.   NOTE: You must be running Windows version 3.1 in order to use this
  42.   Help file.

  44. To install the Help file
  45. ------------------------
  46.  
  47. 1. Insert the enclosed FW0983 disk in your floppy disk drive.
  48.  
  49. 2. At the MS-DOS command prompt, type the following and press ENTER
  50.  
  51.       copy <drive>:\foxerror.hlp <destination>
  52.  
  53.    where <drive> is the floppy disk drive containing the FW0983 disk
  54.    and <destination> is the drive and directory that contains your
  55.    FoxPro files. For example, if your FoxPro files are located in the
  56.    FOXPROW directory on drive C and the FW0983 disk is in drive A,
  57.    type the following command:

  59.       copy a:\foxerror.hlp c:\foxprow
  60.  
  61. 3. In Windows Program Manager, select the group window that contains
  62.    your FoxPro icons.
  63.  
  64. 4. From the Program Manager File menu, choose New, select Program
  65.    Item, and then choose OK.
  66.  
  67. 5. In the Description box, type FoxPro Error Messages.
  68.  
  69. 6. In the Command Line box, type
  70.  
  71.       winhelp.exe <destination>\foxerror.hlp
  72.  
  73.    where <destination> is the drive and directory that contains your
  74.    FoxPro files (see step 2).
  75.  
  76. 7. Leave the Working Directory box blank, and then choose OK.
  77.  
  78.    You should now see a FoxPro Error Messages icon.
  79.  
  80. 8. Double-click the FoxPro Error Messages icon to view the Help file.
